Starting at YVR, here’s one of the tarmac. I really like the lighting of this one.
Here’s one taken out the window shortly after taking off:
It didn’t take long for the sun to disappear.
Here’s the view of the University’s main building from the street:
There’s a lovely park beside the University called Kelvingrove park. I went for a walk around it shortly after arriving. Here’s a photo of a duck pond in the park:
The park has a great view of the University:
Also near the park is the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, which like nearly all museums in Glasgow, is free to enter.
Edinburgh was a beautiful city. Unfortunately my camera broke partway through the trip (I was able to fix it the next day at home), so many of the photos were taken with my phone.
The St. Giles Cathedral was our starting point for the day.
Near the cathedral is a statue of David Hume. It is considered good luck to touch David Hume’s toe, hence all the green has rubbed off, and his toe is gold.
I got a decent picture overlooking the city from Calton Hill:
And finally, the obligatory photo of the statue of Adam Smith:
In other news, I got into Labour Economics, so all my classes have been sorted out. The one lecture I’ve had went well, and I still have yet to buy proper food. I’ll write another post sometime this weekend.
